Event: Women's Enterprise Network Meeting - Blairgowrie

Women's Enterprise Network Meeting

When Where
Tue 6 Jun 2017

Our Women's Enterprise Network follows our usual format, with a guest speaker and a chance to network.

This month we will be focusing on applying for Business Awards. Wendy Maltman, President of the Association of Scottish Businesswomen (www.asb-scotland.org/) will talk on the ASB Awards, and we will tell you of other Awards which you might qualify to apply for.  Of course, we think that you are all winners, but why not apply for an award and the chance to get the recognition and marketing which your business deserves!

Hear also from some local businesses who have had experience of entering and winning Awards. Jillian Page, of Something Special Flowers in Blairgowrie has won an RHS Chelsea Flower Show Award on two occasions, bagging silver this year in the Florist of the Year category. Something Special have also been winners at the Scottish VOWS Awards - the Oscars of the Scottish Wedding industry! - more than once. Hear Jillian talk on the awards process, and the value of winning awards to her business.

We are also delighted to welcome Brenda Roddy of Jessie Mac's in Dunkeld, a green tourism award-winning hostel, providing luxury accommodation with an aim to minimise impact on the environment, and to support the local economy.

Light buffet served from 6.00 p.m. All welcome.
