Our Women's Enterprise Network follows our usual format, with a guest speaker and a chance to network, at Cargills Bistro, Blairgowrie.
This month, our guest speaker is Lynne Cadenhead. A serial entrepreneur, Lynne has over 20 years investment experience, including mentoring, nurturing and starting up a range of early stage technology and retail companies throughout the UK. She has worked with a wide portfolio of technology companies and has also managed two early stage technology venture capital funds.
Lynne served as a member of the Scottish Executive Scottish Industrial Development Advisory Board (SIDAB) for eight years and was previously Chair of Connect, the Scottish technology networking organisation. She was also the first Chair of Touch Bionics the world-leading upper limb prosthetics company.
She is currently Executive Chair of Women’s Enterprise Scotland, and is a Director of Emotional Sciences, an artificial intelligence company using computational linguistics to detect emotions and the causes of emotion in real time.
A long-standing member of the Edinburgh Napier University Campaign Board, she is also Chair of the Scotland Advisory Board for UNICEF UK, the world’s leading largest organisation working specifically for children and children’s rights.
