Funding Applications – Dark Art or Common Sense? - Online Learning Session

This learning session will look at what makes a good funding bid, common mistakes and what are the potential funding sources for micro businesses.

We’ll cover what funders want, planning and communicating your ideas, writing a budget and what makes a bid that stands out.

GrowBiz Enterprise Facilitator, Brenda Roddy will lead this session.

Brenda is one of the owners of Jessie Mac’s, a luxury hostel and bed and breakfast in Birnam, Perthshire. She is also a chartered environmentalist and has spent the last 25 years working in climate change, carbon management, waste, resource efficiency, fundraising and managing an environmental fund.  As well as running the business, Brenda still works part-time for a local authority and is committed to the ethos that resource efficiency makes good business sense, providing opportunities to save money and become more resilient.

Working as an enterprise facilitator on GrowBiz’s Creative Care project is her latest role where Brenda is using my business and development skills to help people to set up their own businesses in the care sector, working with carers, health and social care professionals and communities on innovative projects.

If you haven't participated in any of our virtual sessions, please plan to join us 15 minutes earlier to get settled in and we'll help you find your way around.  We'll send you the link you need ahead of the session.
