Is Social Enterprise ‘the business’ for rural economies? Join us for our May Xchange Networking event at Gloagburn, Tibbermore to hear more.

This event is for anyone who’d like to know more about social enterprise, including existing businesses which are interested in changing their structure, or collaborating with local community-owned businesses.

In addition to a panel of local social entrepreneurs, we’ll hear from David Bryan from the Social Enterprise Academy  - www.socialenterprise.academy/scot/ - which provides training, education and leadership programmes for social enterprises across Scotland.

David manages the Social Enterprise Highlands & Islands hub. He joined the Academy from the Community Recycling Network for Scotland, where he was development officer for the north of Scotland.  David lives in Sutherland with his wife and four children. He enjoys yomping around the hills, road and hill running and generally keeping up with the kids, which takes up all his spare time!

We'll also hear from  Katrina MacPherson, Social Enterprise Development Officer from PKAVS - www.pkavs.org.uk Katrina provides help to businesses throughout Perth and Kinross with planning & developing your Social Enterprise idea; identifying & accessing funding ; training, events and networking opportunities and can also signpost to specialist support and guidance on topics such as market research; feasibility studies and legal issues.

There will be a buffet & networking from 6.00pm followed by our speakers and panel discussion with the opportunity for more networking at the end of the evening.
