SEED’s of Success: Noah Schembri

Noah is a self-employed lead generation specialist, working with contractors under the ECO4 scheme. His role is to connect eligible households with government-backed energy efficiency upgrades, such as insulation, heating systems, and other improvements such as solar panels.

“Being able to access support from GrowBiz has been a great confidence booster for me. Having a local organisation dedicated to helping entrepreneurs has allowed me to rest assured that I will have the help I need to tackle the challenges I may face.”

Getting Started

Noah started his business because he saw an opportunity to help both contractors and homeowners — enabling contractors to find leads and households to access support that lowers their energy bills and reduces their carbon footprint.

He says: “My core purpose is to bridge the gap between the services offered by the ECO4 scheme and the people who need them most.

“I want to make a positive difference by supporting energy efficiency initiatives while helping businesses grow and families live more comfortably.”

The Enterprise Journey

Noah feels that dedication, hard work, and a focus on building strong relationships with contractors have been key to getting to where he is today. “I’ve also connected with like-minded professionals and businesses that align with my values and mission, allowing me to use incentivised referrals.”

He has also spent time learning the ins and outs of the ECO4 scheme, refining his processes, and leveraging tools that help him find and qualify leads effectively.

He says: “I underestimated the complexity of qualifying leads for the ECO4 scheme in the beginning. There’s a lot of detail involved in ensuring that households meet the scheme’s requirements.

“I learned the importance of fully understanding the scheme’s criteria and educating potential leads upfront. This led to me refining my approach and improving my confidence.

“By doing this I have saved time for both contractors and clients while increasing the success rate of the leads I provide.”

For those just starting out on their enterprise journey, he has some words of wisdom: “Stay consistent and the results are guaranteed to come! Try to learn from every experience and stay positive!”

Support Along the Way

Noah views the contractors he works with as key partners in his journey, and has also benefited from advice and mentorship from people who understand the lead generation business and the ECO4 scheme.

“The feedback I receive from clients and contractors has been instrumental in helping me refine my approach,” he adds.

As a member of the GrowBiz SEED programme, Noah has also benefitted from dedicated support for your entrepreneurs.

“Being a member of the SEED program for young entrepreneurs had been brilliant!” he says.

“My advisor Angela has been extremely helpful, especially regarding the accounting side of things. I am always able to call on her for an expert opinion on any business-related topic.

“Being able to access support from GrowBiz has been a great confidence booster for me. Having a local organisation dedicated to helping entrepreneurs has allowed me to rest assured that I will have the help I need to tackle the challenges I may face.

“Angela has also acted as a mentor to me and its nice to be able to draw from her wealth of knowledge.”

Looking to the Future

So far, Noah has successfully helped numerous households to access funding through the ECO4 scheme and is motivated to help many more. “Knowing that my efforts have contributed to improving people’s homes, reducing energy costs, and lowering their environmental impact is incredibly rewarding.

“In future, I aim to help more households take advantage of energy-saving upgrades, which will improve living standards and reduce energy poverty.”

As well as the impact on householders of what he does, Noah is passionate about continuing to promote sustainability by connecting more people with eco-friendly solutions that reduce carbon emissions.

“My ultimate goal is to make a lasting impact that benefits people, businesses, and our local community here in Perthshire.”
