The Bike Station
Meet The Bike Station, our latest ‘member of the month’ for the Perth & Kinross Social Enterprise Group.
The Bike Station is a charity bike shop selling refurbished bikes and reinvesting into local community programmes across Edinburgh and Perth.
They want to make sure cycling is available to everyone, so their community programmes focus on supporting and working with individuals who have been typically underrepresented or excluded from sustainable travel programmes. The Bike Station is also completely committed to recycling, repairing and repurposing bikes, saving 83 tonnes of bikes from landfill last year!
One of their newer projects is The Wee Bike Library, a programme where families can borrow kids bikes for free and then exchange those bikes for the next size up as their kids grow.
