Join us for a 2-day in person training to learn about WRAP as a tool to support both your own and others’ wellness and mental health.
Each day starts at 10am and finishes promptly at 3pm and this is at no cost to you other than a commitment to show up.
The training sessions will be delivered by GrowBiz Mentoring Co-ordinator, Shareon Gordon and Beth Taylor, Community Development and Support Officer. Both Shareon and Beth are acredited WRAP facilitators who advocate, apply and use the WRAP techniques in their daily life.
What is WRAP?
The Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) is a personalised wellness and recovery programme born out of and rooted in the principle of self-determination. The research shows that it helps you and people like you to:
manage your emotional reactions to every day stressors
alert you to your personal triggers to enable you to take the appropriate timely action
maintain mental health and wellness
achieve your own life goals and dreams
helps to build resilience to life's dramas
helps you to build your own personal boundaries
Using the WRAP approach can help you to monitor uncomfortable and distressing feelings and behaviours and, through planned responses, reduce, modify, or eliminate those feelings. A WRAP also helps you and others to build systems of support into life.
