Ruractive Open Day

GrowBiz and the James Hutton Institute are delighted to host an Open Day to the RURACTIVE project, funded by the European Union and United Kingdom Research and Innovation. RURACTIVE is a European-wide project that aims to create better connected, prosperous, resilient and strong rural communities. GrowBiz and the James Hutton Institute are developing a bold vision for how we want to achieve this aim over the next 3 years in the North-East of Scotland. The Open Day is an opportunity to share that vision with you and for you to share your thoughts on,

  1. the biggest challenges currently facing your rural community, and,

  2. what you think we can do to help address these challenges.

Without you, this project will not be the success, nor have the impact that we are seeking for our rural communities and the rural economy in Scotland. We would value your time and inputs to engage with us as we try to find innovative solutions to the big challenges we identify together.

At the Open Day, you’ll hear from members of local groups and the rural business community who are already flying the flag for the rural economy and people living and working in rural communities in Scotland. We’ll also showcase examples of innovative solutions we have already developed and of course, there will be refreshments and nibbles!

Come and join us at this exciting event and help us shape the future of our rural communities in Scotland.
