Perthshire Artisans ASSEMBLE for Summer Exhibition
Members of creative support platform Perthshire Artisans are coming together for an inaugural in-person art exhibition, ASSEMBLE, in Perth City Centre in July.
Whilst primarily an online platform, opportunities are continually sought for members to showcase their work, and Perthshire Artisans is delighted to be part of the St Matthew’s Summer Gallery and Festival 2024, with a mixed exhibition showcasing work from 30 members, ensuring a varied display for viewing and sale.
Running from Saturday 13 to Friday 19 July and open from 10-4pm each day (1-4pm on Sunday 14 July), visitors can enjoy original paintings, photography and prints in addition to ceramics, jewellery, glass and mosaics. Members of Perthshire Artisans will also be on hand for any creative chat and greater understanding of their work.
Developed by specialist rural enterprise experts GrowBiz, Perthshire Artisans is a curated platform supporting and promoting the region’s diverse range of creative talent, enabling opportunities for local artists and creatives as well as providing business support and a community amongst the members themselves.
Caron Ironside, Perthshire Artisans Facilitator, says: “Coming together is an important aspect of what we do at Perthshire Artisans, whether online or in person, often as a way to share ideas and support.
“Hosting an exhibition is an opportunity we are delighted to organise, a first for members to ‘ASSEMBLE’ and showcase their wonderful artwork and creations. We hope locals and visitors to the area will come along and enjoy the creative talent of Perth & Kinross.”
The week long exhibition at St Matthew’s on Tay Street runs from Saturday 13 to Friday 19 July and is the second in eight different exhibitions being held as part of their Summer Gallery and Festival. Open from 10-4pm (1-4pm on Sunday 14 July), St Matthew’s will also have tea and coffee available for visitors.
