Perthshire Artisans Team Up with Visit Scotland Perth iCentre to Showcase Local Products

As a way to showcase and promote the vibrant creativity of Perth & Kinross to both visitors and locals, Visit Scotland Perth iCentre has given Perthshire Artisans the opportunity to showcase members’ products in their High Street window.

Perthshire Artisans is a curated platform of diverse creative businesses from across the region, launched by enterprise support organisation GrowBiz in 2020. It will be showcasing four different displays from October to December 2023. Different colour themes have been selected with up to six products displayed at any one time.

A QR code will be included in the display to link directly to www.perthshire-artisans.scot where the products can be purchased.

With over 30 Artisans’ work to choose from, ranging from printmakers, photographers and artists to ceramicists, candlemakers and jewellers, the Perthshire Artisans online shop offers a selection of over 450 individual items to purchase, all original and hand-crafted such as ceramics, glass art, jewellery, cards, paintings, woodwork, prints, mosaics, candles, leatherwork, homeware, clothing and more.

Caron Ironside, Perthshire Artisans and GrowBiz Enterprise Facilitator, said: “Showcasing the Artisans creations on Perth High Street is a fabulous opportunity generously provided by Visit Scotland’s Perth iCentre. Visitors to the area and residents using and passing the iCentre can enjoy the vibrant work and craftsmanship of local creatives.

“We hope it will encourage their support through a follow on social media and visiting the website when they’re searching for gifts or something different.”

Members of Perthshire Artisans enjoy a range of benefits including business support and access to the community of artists providing peer support as well as additional marketing and an online selling platform. Perthshire Artisans offers an opportunity to buy locally and sustainably as well as making Perth & Kinross creativity accessible from anywhere.

Margaret Campbell, Assistant iCentre Manager, Information Team, said: "The city of Perth and the surrounding area is renowned for its connections to arts and crafts and Perthshire Artisans is a great way to support the work of local artists in the area. The team at Perth iCentre are excited to share this creativity with visitors and locals and help support this local initiative.”

As a non-profit platform, every purchase from the Perthshire Artisans online shop supports the Artisans and helps GrowBiz provide individual enterprise and peer support to help members grow their practice, enhance their skills and develop a sustainable income from their talents.
