GrowBiz birthday event will highlight diversity of local businesses

On Thursday the 16th of June, GrowBiz will be celebrating 15 years of supporting rural enterprises with a special birthday event.

The event is being held at Birnam Arts and will include an afternoon session with a drop-in support surgery offering 1-1 business advice, opportunities for informal networking and meeting the GrowBiz team, and an enterprise showcase.

The showcase will feature a variety of local businesses owners who have benefited from GrowBiz support, and who demonstrate the diversity and innovation of enterprise in rural Perthshire and beyond. They include local retailers, care and wellbeing professionals, social enterprises and creatives. There will be opportunities to chat to the people behind the businesses and learn more about what they offer.

GrowBiz CEO Jackie Brierton says, “GrowBiz has long been championing the innovation and diversity of small businesses and the self employed and the role they play in creating a dynamic rural economy. We’re delighted that some of them are able to join us to help celebrate our 15th birthday, and feel privileged to have been able to support them and so many more on their enterprise journey.”

Anyone is welcome to drop in to Birnam Arts from 3pm to 5pm in the afternoon to see the businesses and meet the team. At 6pm an evening networking event will start, with a buffet, a panel of guest speakers and birthday cake! There is also the option to link into this event online for anyone who can’t make it along in person.

Free tickets for the online event can be booked at www.growbiz.co.uk/events
