GrowBiz Serving Up an Inspirational Networking Opportunity

A food and drink themed GrowBiz XChange networking event in August will feature Lucinda Bruce-Gardyne as a special guest speaker.

Lucinda made a career as a chef and food scientist, developing a fresh gluten free loaf to help people with diet restrictions. She went on to found Genius Foods in 2008, which is now a major player in the production of ‘free-from’ products, with listings in all major retailers here and across the globe. She is currently Chair of Scotland Food & Drink and is a Women’s Enterprise Scotland Ambassador.

This free event is a wonderful opportunity to be inspired by Lucinda's story, whether or not you are in the food and drink sector. As a business mentor she is passionate about supporting businesses to grow at all levels.

There will also be a Q&A discussion, and the chance to meet and network with other like-minded business owners. A buffet and refreshments will be provided.

The food and drink theme of the event reflects that GrowBiz recently took on the administration of Perth & Kinross’ regional food group, Great Perthshire. The initiative offers networking, peer support, learning opportunities and mentoring to anyone in the food & drink sector.

GrowBiz CEO, Jackie Brierton, who will host the XChange, says: “We are delighted to have Lucinda joining us at our August XChange. The story of how she started Genius Foods from a shared idea at the school gates is inspirational—and we hope local business owners will join us to hear about her enterprise journey.

“We understand it may have been a while since some have attended an in-person networking event, so members of the Growbiz team will be there to make sure everyone feels welcome and relaxed.”

The event will take place on Thursday, 31 August, 18:00 - 20:30, at Birnam Arts Centre.
